Influencer Marketing & Creator Manager (all genders), 100% Home Office
Job description
When was the last time you turned a YouTube channel into a SPIEGEL bestseller?
That's the job here. BrainBook creates books with some of Germany's biggest gaming YouTubers, for example LukasBS and EinfachGustaf: novels, graphic novels, series, focusing on readers between 8 and 14. Six years old, completely remote, no committee, no waiting. We are shaking up an industry that has barely moved in thirty years, and next year we will release 16 titles.
For this, we are looking for the person who will guide our creators through their book project: from the initial concept through the launch to the moment the community holds the book in their hands. You know the channels, you align the campaign with the creator and management, you ensure that marketing materials, bonus materials, and integrations are ready on time, and you develop the next projects with our program management. Organized enough to meet deadlines. Close enough to the scene that creators trust you.
If you are the person in your agency or team that creators call when it gets important: We should talk.
Responsibilities
- You will support our creators and their management throughout the entire project lifecycle: You know their channels, their community, and their plans, you are the first point of contact for everything related to launch and marketing, and you maintain contact until the book is released, and beyond.
- You will align the campaign with the creator and management: marketing calls, integration plan with long-form and short-form formats, announcement and launch dates. You will track the plan, follow up if anything is missing, and evaluate each campaign with the relevant KPIs, from views and watchtime to clicks and sales per integration.
- You will prepare every launch: timeline from announcement to release date, pre-orders, giveaways, promotions in the shop, on Amazon, and in the TikTok Shop, in collaboration with the editorial team, design, and channel managers.
- You will organize all marketing materials with the creator and our design team: teaser and shorts concepts, product images, briefings, creator boxes, autograph cards, dummy prints, and bonus materials such as posters, maps, or texture packs. You will brief the design team and external creatives, manage revisions, and obtain creator approval. Design is handled by the design team; you hold the reins.
- You will be responsible for the launch budget per book and will independently commission freelancers and materials within this budget.
- You will develop concepts for new creators with our program management, prepare pitches and offers, participate in initial meetings with creators and management, and maintain exchange with the scene at trade fairs and events. Contracts and conditions are negotiated by our managing director.
- You will coordinate closely with our production, editorial, and design teams to ensure the book, materials, and campaign come together, record agreements and deadlines in ClickUp, and provide a clear status report every Friday on all ongoing launches.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in influencer marketing, creator or talent management, or campaign and project management, on the agency or brand side, or in creator management. More is expressly welcome.
- You have already worked with creators and their management: briefings, approvals, deadlines, follow-ups, even when things get difficult. You remain friendly and professional, both in writing and on calls.
- You know long-form and short-form from practice: a YouTube video with an integration works differently than a Short, a TikTok, or a Reel, and you know which format takes on which job in the launch.
- You know which KPIs count today and what they mean: views, watchtime, and retention for long-form; views, completion rate, and shares for short-form, plus clicks, conversion, and sales per integration. From a report, you derive a decision, not just a graphic.
- You can read a channel: target audience, formats, reach, quality of integrations. And you can derive a campaign or product idea from it.
- You have managed multiple campaigns or launches in parallel with fixed deadlines and can concretely explain what went wrong and what you did about it.
- You know the labeling rules for creator content and what needs to be considered for giveaways and an audience under 14.
- German at C2 level, English good in spoken and written.
- You work self-organized in your home office, travel to trade fairs and events a few times a year, create clean presentations, and are proficient in ClickUp or a comparable tool, a CRM like HubSpot, and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
- A plus, not a requirement: You already have a network in the creator scene, creators, management, agencies.
No exclusion: You don't have to come from the book market. We will teach you about books, the book trade, and publishing processes. What you bring is a feel for creators and their communities and the organization to turn an idea into a launch. Affinity for gaming and kids' content is a plus.
Benefits
- Starting salary €36,000 to €40,000 fixed annual salary, depending on experience, plus uncapped bonuses: for every fully prepared launch, for every campaign where the agreed integrations go live, and for every SPIEGEL bestseller, we pay extra, realistically €4,000 to €5,000 per year. Those who deliver earn more here, automatically, not through negotiation.
- Full-time, permanent, 100% home office, company headquarters in Kiedrich.
- 40 hours with a working time account: plus hours do not expire; from 37 plus hours, we pay out automatically.
- 25 vacation days, €50 tax-free benefit allowance per month, laptop provided.
- Your own launch budget from day one and decisions from management within 48 hours; for this, there is a fixed weekly appointment.
- Creators whom your target audience sees every day: You work with some of Germany's biggest gaming YouTubers and their teams, on calls, at trade fairs, and at signing sessions.
- Travel expenses to trade fairs, events, signing sessions, and appointments at the company headquarters are covered by us.
We look forward to your application and to getting to know you!
