Extended Care Nurse for Campbellton - New Brunswick

Location : Campbellton, NB

Unit : Extended Care

Location : Campbellton Regional Hospital (located at 189, Lily Lake Road, Campbellton, NB E3N 3H3)

Start date : As early as August

End date : Permanent full-time

Schedule : Rotation, Day, Evening, Weekend, On-call, Other (8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Possibility of reserve and recall. Work schedule may change according to operational needs.)

Languages : French and English, bilingual essential

Mileage and accommodation : Not covered.

Bonus that can go up to $25,000 at contract signing

Salary : $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year

Work location : In-person

We are looking for a nurse or clinical nurse for the Extended Care unit at Campbellton Regional Hospital.

Your main mission will be to undertake the steps of the nursing care process and manage the episode of care within a helping relationship involving reports with clients and their loved ones. Assume any other connected tasks according to the needs of the service.

Requirements :

• Member of the New Brunswick Association of Nurses (AIINB);
• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience acquired within the past eight years considered an asset;
• Certificate in immediate care in resuscitation (SIR) and maintenance of certification;
• Practical knowledge in computer science;
• Recognized skills for organizing and managing workload assigned;
• Recognized skills for functioning in a changing work environment;
• Recognized skills for working in a team and autonomously;
• Recognized skills for teaching, communication, and interpersonal relationships with healthcare personnel and community organizations;
• Recognized skills for working with older people;
• Sustained interest in deepening knowledge in geriatric care;
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work record (productivity and attendance); • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the management philosophy of the Network, and organizational values;
• Respect for the confidentiality rules of the Vitalité Health Network.
