Nurse in Dispensary in Basse-Côte-Nord - Day Shift

Job offer: Nurse or Clinical Nurse

Location: La Tabatière/Saint-Augustin/Rivière-Saint-Paul

Start date: June 2025

End date: July 2025

The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, particularly for children and the elderly, and will be able to work in a hospital environment.

This position requires close attention to detail, as well as an ability to manage complex situations with competence and compassion.

Mission:

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in a hospital environment.
• Assess patients' medical and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Use the Epic system to document care and monitor patient progress.
• Ensure effective communication with families regarding the health status and needs of patients.
• Participate in case management to ensure continuity of care, particularly in the context of home care or independent living assistance.
• Train and supervise auxiliary staff, if applicable.

Requirements:

• DEC diploma in nursing and valid practice permit.
• Experience in this sector or in a comparable service
• Training in an expanded role
• Bilingual French and English because the population is predominantly English-speaking in Basse-Côte-Nord.
• Available to provide on-call duty
• Familiarity with medical computer systems, particularly Epic.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of patient care.

Benefits:

Hourly rate: $60/h

Per diem: $70 per day worked

Mileage and accommodation: Covered
