Help shape Queensland’s future workforce.

Queensland Transport Association is looking for a proactive Industry Engagement Advisor to lead workforce development initiatives across the aviation, maritime and rail sectors as part of the Queensland Government’s Industry Skills and Jobs Advisor (ISJA) Program.

Working with our great team, this is a unique, purpose-driven role where you’ll connect industry, government and training providers to ensure Queensland has the skills needed for tomorrow.

The Role
  • Build trusted relationships with employers, small businesses and industry bodies.
  • Lead industry reference groups and provide evidence-based advice to government.
  • Identify workforce trends, skills gaps and training needs – and turn insights into action.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations that influence real outcomes.
  • Partner with the ISJA for Road Transport & Warehousing to align projects across sectors.
  • Work flexibly – from Brisbane or remotely – with travel across Queensland as required.

You’ll Bring
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to plan and deliver outcomes.
  • Understanding (or strong interest in) in aviation, maritime or rail sectors.
  • Excellent writing, analysis and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative, adaptable mindset – we’ll train you on the industry specifics!
