We weld with lasers and make weld seams float, just like in Star Wars.

WeldNova develops a solution for efficient welding of metals. With our WeldMagnet, we enable stable, fast, and resource-saving processes to be carried out. The technology has been scientifically researched over several years and is currently being tested together with industrial partners in pilot projects.

Aufgaben

• Development and testing of concepts and prototypes in the field of high-performance magnet technology and metal processing
• Independent planning and implementation, including operation of experimental (welding-) tests
• Evaluation of welding tests based on data, for example through destructive and non-destructive testing, as well as derivation of recommendations for action
• Coordination of evaluations internally and externally
• Planning and implementation of experimental work during the project phase
• Definition of interfaces and implementation of systems in existing installations in industry
• Participation in international R&D projects

Qualifikation

• Degree in technical field such as laser welding, mechanical engineering, materials science or physics with very good grades
• Knowledge of electrical system installation and fault diagnosis, as well as measurement of technical quantities
• Knowledge of building and wiring control and sensor circuits desirable
• Familiarity with SPS technology and industrial communication (Profinet, EtherCAT) advantageous
• Experience in MSG- and laser welding or metal additive manufacturing desired
• Experience in working with NC-programmable machines advantageous
• Experience in project management
• Able to work independently and self-motivated, with personal engagement and team and communication skills
• Experience in dealing with measurement and testing technology as well as quality assurance
• Independent, safe and responsible working style
• Teamwork and willingness to participate in an interdisciplinary development team
• Very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking
