Industrial Product Designer & Engineer – Home Accessories (m/f/d)

THIS IS THE JOB

Do you want to create products that combine thoughtful design with real impact for our planet? At everdrop, as an Industrial Product Designer & Engineer – Home Accessories (m/f/d), you will combine aesthetics with technical construction. You will take responsibility for our product portfolio – from the initial idea through CAD development to series production readiness.

These will be your main tasks:

• You will develop high-quality and clever household products from the initial product idea to series production readiness – with a focus on design, functionality, and sustainability.

• You will independently design products and develop technical solutions that impress with intelligent functions and an excellent user experience.

• You will select suitable materials and manufacturing processes and optimize products in terms of quality, sustainability, manufacturability, and cost.

• You will manage international suppliers and development partners, coordinate technical details, and ensure smooth and efficient implementation.

• You will work closely with product management, procurement, and operations, ensuring that a product vision becomes an exceptional series product.

• You have completed a degree in Industrial Design, Product Development, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a comparable qualification.

• You have several years of experience in the development of physical consumer goods – ideally in the Home & Living, Household Products, or Consumer Goods sector.

• You have a strong sense for high-quality product design and can combine it with technical feasibility.

• You are familiar with and understand different manufacturing processes or relevant production methods (such as injection molding, extrusion, or CNC) and the corresponding materials (such as plastics, silicone, wood, or metal) and can already incorporate this knowledge in the conceptualization phase.

• You understand manufacturing costs, target costs, and economic viability, and develop products that are technically and commercially convincing.

• You are proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or Fusion 360) and can independently design products.

• You communicate fluently in English and ideally have experience working with international manufacturers and suppliers.

• You work in a structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented manner and strive to turn good ideas into exceptional products.
