For our Manufacturing / Process Engineering department at the Wetzlar site, we are looking for a

Industrial Engineer Optics (OEM) (m/f/d)

Would you like to bring innovation projects from the development stage to series production readiness and are comfortable acting as a moderator between development, manufacturing, and the customer? In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in the entire product creation process, including the transfer to production for series readiness, including the necessary manufacturing documentation, as well as master data for materials.

  • Experience in designing tools and fixtures would be desirable. Preferably, creating and maintaining drawings, bills of materials, and adjustment instructions using the CREO Parametrics program to ensure efficient and high-quality implementation.

  • Support production areas with manufacturing problems, as well as participate in CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) with a focus on cost reduction, productivity increase, and ergonomics.

  • Feasibility studies as well as involvement in the procurement of new manufacturing technologies, and the selection of suppliers for optical components.

The essential requirements for the position include:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, or another technical field / Precision Optics Technician with additional training as a Technician, Master Craftsman in Precision Optics, or Technical Business Administrator.

  • Experience in designing tools and fixtures would be desirable. Preferably with the CREO Parametrics program.

  • A structured and solution-oriented approach, strong communication and teamwork skills, and very good German and English language skills for collaboration in international OEM projects.

  • Several years of professional experience in optics manufacturing and experience with SAP and PTC Windchill.
