Indirect Category Manager

Within the framework of our prestigious Client's procurement structure enhancement program, leader in the metallurgical sector, we are seeking a Category Manager who, reporting to the Purchasing Director and coordinating the activities of their Buyer team, will be responsible for managing the strategic categories of purchases within their area of expertise, ensuring cost optimization, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies. Responsibilities – Define and implement category strategies; develop and maintain relationships with suppliers; negotiate contracts and pricing; manage inventory levels; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; analyze market trends and competitor activity; identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements; collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Requirements – Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, supply chain management, or business administration; at least 5 years of experience in category management or a related field; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in MS Office applications.
