Job description

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented In-House Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract drafting and negotiations, as well as experience in advising on legal issues across various business functions. Past experience of handling regulatory matters will be considered a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities: Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts related to Wind energy projects, including but not limited to: Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Supply Agreements, and other commercial agreements. Provide legal advice on contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective contract strategies. Ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of contractual disputes. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, laws, and regulations to provide expert legal counsel. Provide training and guidance to colleagues on contract drafting and negotiation best practices. Conduct regular reviews of contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contractual agreements. Develop and implement effective contract management processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective contract administration. Ensure all contracts are properly executed, filed, and recorded in a timely manner. Provide legal support for the development and implementation of new business initiatives. Conduct research and analysis on legal issues related to Wind energy projects. Provide expert legal counsel on regulatory matters, including but not limited to: permitting, compliance, and enforcement. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, laws, and regulations to provide expert legal counsel. Provide training and guidance to colleagues on regulatory best practices. Conduct regular reviews of regulatory matters to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with regulatory matters. Develop and implement effective regulatory management processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective regulatory administration. Ensure all regulatory matters are properly executed, filed, and recorded in a timely manner.
