IFS Release Manager

Job description

  • Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.
  • Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.
  • Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working with IFS ERP, including strong exposure to release and change management.
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or IFS Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of IFS Cloud administration and deployment architecture.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash to support automation initiatives.
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD processes and DevOps tools, including Jenkins, Git, and IFS update analyzer.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, particularly Change and Release Management.
  • Strong understanding of cloud operations, including backup and recovery strategies, monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity management.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute releases across the IFS ERP landscape, including major upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and custom developments.
  • Collaborate closely with development, QA, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to ensure effective release planning and smooth execution.
  • Maintain release calendars, documentation, and communication plans while enforcing release governance and change control procedures.
  • Define and manage standardized release processes, monitor release progress, and report on risks, issues, and milestones.
  • Administer cloud infrastructure hosting IFS environments on Azure, AWS, or IFS Cloud, including management of user access, roles, and permissions across IFS and related platforms.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, applying best practices for optimization.
  • Perform routine backups, disaster recovery testing, and failover planning.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection controls, and support integrations between IFS and other enterprise systems such as CRM, MES, and PLM.
  • Provide second- and third-level support for ERP issues related to releases or infrastructure, troubleshooting application and platform issues promptly to minimize business impact.
