Aufgaben
The Data Centre Services Team is responsible for the smooth operation of customer environments in the corresponding data centers. It plays a central role and offers professional network and infrastructure support, as well as around-the-clock availability (24/7 readiness).
The main tasks are as follows:
- You are an expert on all topics related to data center infrastructure, including practical work such as installing and mounting IT components.
- Maintenance of operational relationships between the data center partners and customers.
- Planning for efficient use of data center space and rack utilization according to hosting data center standards.
- Development of concepts for installing data center cabling for all managed solutions and internal networks in accordance with design documentation and using current copper/fiber and patch panel standards. Quality assurance of customer-owned cabling installations.
- You provide support before and after sales for corresponding support specialists, account managers, and service managers.
- Support for all activities related to corporate management and ensuring that all deviations are brought to a successful conclusion.
- Knowledge of national and international standards at expert level
- Collaboration with suppliers and DC Lead Engineers on an international level
The position is primarily located in Frankfurt and includes the support of customer and data center partner activities at additional locations in the Rhine-Main region. Upon binding additional locations, the role will be expanded to include these. The successful candidate must regularly travel between the mentioned locations and provide on-call availability. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday.
Qualifikation
Obligatorisch
- Floated in English and German
- Tight cooperation with external customers.
- Coordination and alignment with the development centers in Great Britain and Ireland
- Knowledge of national and international standards at expert level.
- Good communication skills in potential conflict situations
- Deep understanding of business requirements
- Fundamental professional experience in the data center industry
- Expert knowledge of DC and network cabling standards
- Understanding of ITIL principles
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical/electrical configuration of a data center
- Knowledge of relevant ISO accreditation requirements (ISO27001/ISO22301/BSI/PCI:DSS)
- Awareness of health and safety regulations
