About the Role
As an ICT Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical quality assurance frameworks, supporting and improving IT infrastructure, and creating and executing test plans to ensure system functionality, performance, and reliability. You will also provide your technical expertise to tackle complex issues and maintain system integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operations and provide technical support for enterprise payment and EFTPOS platforms, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs)
- Maintain and administer transaction databases, reporting systems, admin tools, and manage user access to third-party and vendor portals
- Analyse, diagnose, and resolve complex ICT incidents and problems across hardware, software, databases, operating systems, and security platforms underlying payment systems
- Schedule and execute quality assurance and regression tests on applications, POS terminal firmware, and system integrations, identifying errors and ensuring systems meet required specifications
- Conduct quality audits on systems, data, and documentation, identify non-compliance and high-risk areas, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements
- Liaise with vendors and internal departments to coordinate changes, resolve hardware/software defects, and provide escalated technical support
- Author and maintain clear IT service management documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials, to drive procedure improvements and knowledge sharing
- Train and mentor operations personnel to ensure correct incident escalation and adherence to compliance standards
- Perform incident, problem, and change management with company governance frameworks to support continual improvement and risk mitigation
- Use reporting tools to research, reconcile, and analyse transaction data, providing technical insights for root cause analysis and system optimisation.
About You
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience post-qualifications in a relevant position.
- Previous experience as an ICT Systems Test Engineer preferred.
- Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to understand requirements and documentation procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
