ICT Architect – Enterprise Architecture / Core Banking 100%

For our client, we are looking for an experienced ICT Architect with in-depth expertise in Enterprise Architecture and core banking systems. In this demanding role, you will take on a central part in the strategic further development of the IT landscape and the consolidation of core banking systems. You will develop future-oriented architectural target visions, accompany strategic decision-making processes, and ensure the connection between business requirements, IT strategy, and technical implementation.

Main Tasks:

• Development of the strategic application architecture for core banking systems and their direct environment in line with the IT and corporate strategy

• Active participation in a strategic platform program for the consolidation of core banking systems

• Structuring, analysis, and critical questioning of business requirements, as well as ensuring a well-founded basis for decision-making

• Development of a bank-wide reference architecture across all business domains

• Development of strategic architectural target visions and future-proof solution approaches

• Development of an overarching implementation roadmap including critical path, dependencies, and defined exit points

• Functional support of vendor selection processes (RfP) as well as critical evaluation of solution variants and costs

• Consulting and support in overarching Enterprise and Application Architecture topics

• Close collaboration with the delivery organization and relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation

Requirements:

• Several years of experience as a Domain Architect or Enterprise Architect in complex IT landscapes, ideally in the banking environment

• In-depth experience in the transformation and consolidation of core banking systems across various products and all project phases

• Broad know-how of banking applications, IT solutions, and reference architectures, particularly in the areas of accounts, securities, payment transactions, and financing

• Very good knowledge of modern architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, as well as experience with Capability-Based Modelling

• In-depth understanding of common integration patterns and modern architectural approaches

• Experience in agile project and working environments, especially with Scrum and SAFe

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, as well as the competence to structure complex business and technical interrelationships

• Communication skills appropriate to the audience and a confident demeanor with various stakeholder groups – from C-level to implementation teams

• High consulting competence, assertiveness, and the ability to bring together different interests
