Job description
Position: IAOM Project Manager Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their team in managing the IAOM (International Association of Operative Millers) project in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, implementation, and completion of all project activities within the specified timeline and budget. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. Responsibilities: * Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope definition, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation. Oversee the execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and budget constraints. * Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, and vendors, to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and provide regular project updates. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and address project-related issues. * Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project success. Develop and implement risk management plans, including proactive measures to prevent or reduce project risks. * Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are completed within budget constraints. Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance and efficiency. * Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and communication. * Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports, including progress updates, issues, risks, and recommendations. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and change requests. * Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Conduct regular quality reviews and inspections to identify and address any quality-related issues. * Compliance: Ensure project activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Obtain necessary permits and approvals for project activities. * Project Closure: Manage project closure activities, including final project reporting, document archiving, and lessons learned. Conduct project post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement and capture best practices. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. * Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing construction or engineering projects. * Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. * Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6). * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Experience in the milling industry is a plus.
