Your future employer is a large Swiss company with a public mandate and several thousand employees in the Bern region. Identity and Access Management is currently largely handled by an external partner. This is now changing: The platform is coming back in-house, its own agile team is being created, and governance, role models, and the roadmap will be built internally. You will be joining at a time when the broad strokes are still being drawn and your influence will be visible. Approximately 70 percent of the work involves organization, framework conditions, and conception, and approximately 30 percent involves system topics.

My Challenges

• Develop the IAM roadmap and present it to the responsible divisional manager for decision-making.

• Develop the business role model for the entire company, including the appropriate Solution Architecture.

• Bring the IAM landscape, currently managed externally, back in-house and help shape the establishment of the internal team.

• Lead the IAM projects: Provisioning from the SAP environment, onboarding and offboarding of external employees, redesign of recertification, identity providers, and management of privileged identities.

• Plan and moderate workshops with the business units and gather requirements there that the role model must support.

• Be responsible for the governance, quality, and compliance of access rights and ensure their reliability for audits.

• Advise business units, system administrators, and architecture, and convey IAM in training sequences in such a way that it is understood and applied.

My Competencies

• Several years of experience in Identity and Access Management, from conception to operation.

• Demonstrable project management experience: roadmap, stakeholders, deadlines, and budget under your own responsibility.

• Practical experience with role and authorization models, identity lifecycle, and recertification, not just theoretical knowledge.

• Technical understanding of IAM and IGA platforms, directory services, and interfaces, explicitly including On-Premises.

• The ability to explain complex interrelationships so that the business unit and IT speak the same language, and to moderate workshops confidently.

• Structured, independent way of working and enjoyment of collaboration across departmental boundaries.

• Advantageous: Experience with an IGA suite such as Omada, SailPoint, or One Identity, as well as insight into SAP authorizations. Both are welcome, but not a condition.
