HVAC Technician

Trane has an exciting new opportunity for a Chiller technician based in Auckland with an original equipment manufacturer. Trane is the exclusive manufacturer and service division for Trane equipment, with direct access to the Trane factory, technical literature, training and spare parts. The future for Trane is moving forward with new products and superior technical service for our customers. This role is a full-time permanent position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. Reporting to the Technician Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of Trane chillers and other equipment. Key responsibilities will include: • Installation and commissioning of Trane chillers and other equipment; • Maintenance and repair of Trane chillers and other equipment; • Troubleshooting and fault finding on Trane chillers and other equipment; • Providing technical support to customers; • Maintaining accurate records of work completed; • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives; • Working in a team environment to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of Trane chillers and other equipment. A strong understanding of the principles of refrigeration and air conditioning is also essential. The successful candidate will be required to hold a current New Zealand driver's license and be physically fit to perform the duties of the role.
