Human Resources Manager

The Role: We’re looking for a hands-on Human Resources Manager to own and drive our HR operations and strategy. You’ll report directly to the MD, lead a small team, and be responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to development, engagement, and retention. This role is ideal for someone with prior management experience in HR or People & Culture, preferably in startups or scale-ups, who is data-driven, practical, and happy to work set UK hours of 09:00- 18:00 GMT (11:00-20:00 CEST). What You’ll Do: * Lead the HR function, acting as a trusted advisor to the management team and employees. * Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. * Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding. * Manage and improve HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and best practices. * Manage and administer compensation and benefits programs. * Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive work environment. * Oversee learning and development programs. * Ensure legal compliance and manage HR-related legal matters. * Manage a small HR team, providing guidance, support, and professional development. Who You Are: * Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, with at least 5 years of experience. * Experience in the full employee lifecycle. * Solid understanding of UK employment law. * Experience with HR systems and data analysis. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a startup or scale-up. * CIPD qualified or equivalent is preferred.
