The Organisation

This organisation is a recognised, national leader in the food manufacturing industry committed to quality, safety & continuous improvement. The culture is hands-on, detail focussed, and built on values such as hard work, passion and accountability. Due to growth in the HR function, the team is looking to welcome an energised HR Business Partner to support the NSW portfolio of 750 employees.

The Role

As the HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in aligning HR initiatives with the broader business strategy. The role is operational, with strategic elements to support leaders in building high performing teams and a positive workplace culture. You will partner closely with stakeholders in NSW to deliver initiatives in workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement and cultural development. You will also provide trusted advice on employment relations and industrial relations matters, while supporting leaders to grow capability and embed company values across all levels.

Core focus areas include
  • Support the timely and effective resolution of workplace conflicts ensuring outcomes are low risk, compliant and aligned to the company’s values and policies;
  • Identify and mitigate ER/IR risks through proactive education, policy updates, and training of leaders and the workforce;
  • Partnering on industrial relations, including enterprise bargaining and award interpretation.
  • Providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent development, and succession;
  • Coaching and supporting leaders on performance, engagement, and leadership effectiveness; and
  • Embedding company values through culture, engagement, and improvement initiatives;
To Be Successful

You will be an experienced HR professional with the ability to partner with senior leaders across blue collar or operational workforces. You will bring strong business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the confidence to influence decision-making at all levels.

Specifically, you will demonstrate
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a strategic HR role within environments like manufacturing, FCMG, logistics, heavy industry, or similar;
  • Proven experience delivering HR initiatives aligned to business objectives;
  • Strong knowledge of ER/IR, including enterprise bargaining and managing union relationships;
  • A track record of driving cultural change programs that embed organisational values;
  • The ability to think critically, use data insights, and apply a solutions-focused approach; and
  • A hands-on, passionate, and resilient style that reflects the company’s beliefs.
