About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive HR advisory services to our diverse workforce across Australia. This role is critical to maintaining our positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation. You will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, providing expert guidance on all aspects of human resource management, with a focus on supporting our operational teams in the food service distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees on workplace relations policies, procedures, performance management, and disciplinary matters, ensuring alignment with Australian industrial laws, awards, and collective agreements
- Assist in the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including drafting job descriptions, coordinating job advertisements, screening applications, conducting interviews, and facilitating new employee onboarding and induction programs
- Manage and maintain accurate personnel records and HR information systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives, including employee engagement programs, training and development activities, and retention strategies tailored to the needs of our distribution and operational teams.
- Undertake the investigation and resolution of employee grievances and workplace disputes, promoting fair and constructive outcomes to maintain positive employee relations
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and review enterprise agreements, workplace policies, and procedures, ensuring they reflect best practices and support the company’s business objectives.
- Provide advice on compensation and benefits, including salary reviews, superannuation, and leave entitlements, ensuring consistency and competitiveness in the food service industry.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as employment lawyers, industry bodies, and recruitment agencies as required.

Your Profile
- Minimum bachelor's degree
- Proven experience as a Human Resource Adviser or similar generalist HR role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide clear advice to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to workplace issues
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment; team player with independent work capability
