HRIS Specialist - 6 months contract position

About the role

IntoWork Australia is seeking an experienced HRIS Specialist to lead the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of Employment Hero across our national group of businesses. This role will be pivotal in improving employee experience, streamlining data management, and enabling strategic reporting through Power BI.

You'll work closely with the People & Culture and Data teams to ensure the system is fully integrated, user-friendly, and aligned with our organisational goals. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, transformation-focused environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of Employment Hero
• Design and customise workflows, forms, and automations
• Manage data migration and system integrations
• Act as the EH superuser and provide training and support
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Ensure data integrity and system compliance
• Collaborate on continuous improvement and digital enablement initiatives

About you

You're a proactive HRIS professional with a passion for systems and people. You bring:

• Proven experience implementing and administering Employment Hero
• Strong Power BI skills and reporting expertise
• Deep understanding of HR processes and compliance
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience interpreting modern awards across multiple industries

Desirable:

• Experience in multi-entity environments
• Familiarity with Australian payroll and compliance frameworks
• Exposure to HRIS/payroll/finance system integrations
