HR Manager

A leading scrap metal company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee all HR functions in the KZN region. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in HR and IR matters, including CCMA exposure, and possess strong people skills to manage employee relations, support management, and maintain positive engagement with staff and unions. Responsibilities: Oversee HR operations, ensuring compliance with labour laws and internal policies. Manage employee relations and represent the company in various forums, including the CCMA, Bargaining Councils, and other relevant bodies. Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's overall objectives, focusing on talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development. Collaborate with senior management to develop and maintain effective communication channels, ensuring a positive work environment. Provide guidance and support to line managers on HR-related matters, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Maintain accurate records of employee data, including personnel files, attendance records, and other relevant information. Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, regulations, and company policies. Develop and implement effective conflict resolution strategies to minimize workplace disputes and ensure a positive work environment. Provide HR support during the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles. Analyze HR metrics and provide recommendations to senior management on how to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall HR performance. Perform other duties as required.
