HR Business Partner - Retail - NSW & ACT

About the Role
Were seeking a passionate HR Business Partner to join our National People & Culture team. This role is key to shaping workplace culture, supporting leaders, and aligning HR practices with business objectives across our retail network. You'll partner with managers, provide guidance on HR matters, and play a central role in driving employee engagement, retention, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organisational Change: Support the National Business Partnering Manager in preparing for and implementing organisational changes.
  • Coaching & Support: Provide guidance to managers on performance, behaviour, and decision-making.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Recommend and implement initiatives to improve workplace safety, health, and wellbeing.
  • Retention & Engagement: Work with managers to identify and implement retention strategies tailored to each site.
  • Employee Relations: Resolve employee issues, conduct investigations, and guide underperformance management.
  • Program Delivery: Promote HR programs that create inclusive and efficient workplaces.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop policies, procedures, and training while ensuring compliance with workplace legislation and company standards.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication across teams to enhance collaboration and cohesion.
  • Workforce Planning: Monitor, report, and support workforce and succession planning.
  • Workers Compensation: Manage and coordinate claims with external providers and stakeholders.

About You

  • HR Expertise: Demonstrated experience as a HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, or similar role.
  • Employee Relations Skills: Strong knowledge of workplace legislation and experience handling employee relations issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and coaching abilities, with a proven ability to influence and support managers.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and implement improvements in HR practices.
  • Collaborative Approach: Strong relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities.
