Job description
We are AXS, a global ticketing provider for event venues, sports clubs, and events. AXS is responsible for ticketing for AEG Presents, the leading promoter of tours, festivals, and concerts worldwide. Fans of the biggest artists like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, and BLACKPINK trust AXS to access concerts or unique experiences like Coachella Festival or Hyde Park Festival. AXS is a company of the globally operating and independent entertainment conglomerate Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc. (AEG), which also operates numerous venues, including the Uber Arena and Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin, as well as the Barclays Arena in Hamburg. As People & Culture Business Partner for Germany, you will play a central role in supporting local leadership teams. At the same time, you will work closely with European and global leadership teams in the People & Culture department to implement and develop the personnel strategy of AXS. You will act as a trusted advisor for the German business and balance the requirements of the local market, German labor law, and cultural peculiarities on the one hand, and European and global initiatives on the other. This position places a strong focus on culture development, organizational development, integration, and harmonization and supports AXS in its further development and sustainable growth in Germany and Europe. You are an experienced and trustworthy expert in the field of People & Culture with comprehensive expertise along the entire employee lifecycle, as well as profound knowledge of German labor law in the European and global context. You move confidently in complex personnel issues such as organizational changes, integration, and harmonization and work closely with leadership teams, works councils, and colleagues from the People & Culture department across different regions and time zones. You are highly organized, proactive, and communicate sovereignly with various stakeholders – from operational leadership to senior management. You understand how to translate strategies, guidelines, and data from the People & Culture department into clear and practical recommendations that enable leadership teams to make informed and people-centered decisions. Tasks:
- Strategic HR and Business Partnership
- You will work with leadership teams and stakeholders in Germany to translate global and European People & Culture strategies into effective local initiatives.
- You will establish and strengthen the AXS corporate culture in Germany in line with global values, behaviors, and engagement goals.
- You will lead and support integration and harmonization projects in Germany to ensure uniform processes, guidelines, and work practices while considering local requirements.
- You will develop and implement initiatives for corporate culture, employee engagement, and employee experience, including follow-up measures from annual employee surveys.
- You will accompany change and transformation processes and stand as a coach and sparring partner to leadership teams and teams.
- You will be responsible for the entire employee lifecycle in Germany – from personnel planning, recruiting, onboarding, and development to offboarding.
- You will develop learning, talent, and development initiatives further, including performance management, feedback processes, and remuneration and bonus systems.
- You will support succession planning and talent reviews in close cooperation with European People & Culture colleagues.
- You will plan and support recruiting activities in Germany to enable sustainable growth and attract top talents.
- You will work with hiring managers on recruiting strategies, selection processes, and decision-making.
- You will work on local employer branding initiatives and implement them to strengthen the position of AXS as an attractive employer in Germany.
- You will work closely with the finance department to support payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee data validation. This includes monthly payroll deliveries, benefits administration, and employee entry, change, and exit processes. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
- You will work with global People & Culture teams and local stakeholders in HR reporting to provide transparent and timely information on HR metrics and KPIs.
- You will advise leadership teams on German labor law, employee relations, and works council matters as needed.
- You will ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal guidelines and support the harmonization of HR practices within Europe.
- You will serve as a central point of contact for People & Culture in Germany and report directly to the VP People & Culture Europe.
- You have + 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist or in a comparable position and bring comprehensive knowledge along the entire employee lifecycle – from recruiting to talent management to employee development.
- You have experience in accompanying organizational changes, transformation, and organizational development projects and find practical, business-oriented solutions for complex challenges.
- You are convincing through excellent communication and relationship skills and work closely with leadership teams, employees, and stakeholders at all levels.
- You work structured, self-reliant, and solution-oriented and maintain an overview even when dealing with multiple parallel topics.
- You bring a good understanding of HR systems, data, and KPIs and use these to inform decision-making.
- You have very good knowledge of German labor law and experience in working with works councils.
- You communicate confidently on Deutsch and English and feel at home in international work environments.
