We’re on the lookout for a people focused, process driven HR and Health & Safety Coordinator to join our passionate People Team at Mitre 10 MEGA Mt Wellington, Auckland . This is a full-time, fixed-term role (February – September 2025) with flexibility to work from home one day a week. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing HR and Health & Safety support to the store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as supporting the implementation of new initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include: • Providing HR advice and guidance to employees and management on employment-related matters. • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, leave records, and other relevant documentation. • Coordinating and implementing health and safety initiatives, training programs, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. • Conducting regular workplace inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards and risks. • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners. • Providing support and guidance on employee engagement, recognition, and reward programs. • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. • Working collaboratively with other departments to achieve business objectives. • Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. What we’re looking for: • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in HR or a related field. • Strong understanding of employment law and regulations. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
