Housekeeping Supervisor

About The Role - Te mahi We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our team of room attendants and ensure we provide excellent customer service. Housekeeping Supervisor responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members and checking private and public areas for cleanliness. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of sanitation regulations and team management abilities. You should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills. Ultimately, you will help ensure our daily housekeeping operations run smoothly and that guests are satisfied. This is a permanent, full-time role based at Sudima Queenstown Five Mile. The rate is $27.50 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. Responsibilities:

• Train and mentor room attendants on cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Oversee staff on a daily basis including allocating rooms and duties to the team
• Coordinate the housekeeping team to meet daily deadlines
• Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness.
• Ensures rooms are turned around as quickly and efficiently as possible
• Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.
• Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards.
• Uphold cleanliness standards, and conduct daily inspections for assigned rooms
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.
• Respond to customer complaints and special requests.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.
• Assisting the room attendants when required.
• Work with the executive housekeeper to maintain a high standard of appearance of rooms, public areas and back of house

Requirements About you | Ko koe tēnei

• New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) Level 4 qualification OR at least two years of relevant work experience
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Excellent organizational and team management skills
• Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
• A high level of organisation, time management and problem-solving skills
• We are looking for someone who is flexible with their availability – to be successful, you will need to be able to work a typical hospitality roster and that means covering all shifts across a 7-day rotating roster
