Housekeeping Assistant - Care Home

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Housekeeping Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a warm and homely environment that enables us to meet each resident's unique needs. Keeping the home clean and safe is no small task, which is why the role of Housekeeping Assistant is so important. The variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks you carry out will ensure everyone can enjoy a clean, tidy and welcoming environment. This means you'll have a direct impact on our residents, their visitors and family members who come to visit. You'll be working closely with other colleagues in the care home to ensure that we provide the best possible experience for all of our residents. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home, including communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens. * Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying and ironing resident's clothing and bedding. * Help to maintain a safe and secure environment by ensuring all doors and windows are locked and secured, and that any hazards or risks are reported to the management team. * Work closely with other colleagues to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care and support. * Assist with the preparation of meals and snacks for our residents, including setting tables, serving food and clearing away after meals.
