Hotel Security Supervisor (Grade A-B)

Job Title: Hotel Security Supervisor Location: Cape Town Job Summary: The Hotel Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security operations of the hotel to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. The supervisor will lead a team of security officers and work collaboratively with other departments to enforce security protocols and maintain a secure environment. Responsibilities: 1. Supervise and train security officers, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and evaluating performance. 2. Develop and implement security procedures and protocols to protect the hotel's assets, guests, and employees. 3. Monitor security systems, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems. 4. Respond to security incidents, investigate and write reports on incidents, and take appropriate action. 5. Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to identify and address security risks. 6. Enforce hotel policies and procedures related to security and safety. 7. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed. 8. Manage and maintain security equipment and supplies. 9. Prepare and maintain security-related records and reports. 10. Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards. 11. Conduct fire drills and safety inspections. 12. Provide excellent customer service to guests and employees. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience in security, preferably in a hotel environment. * Strong leadership and supervisory skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. * Knowledge of security systems and procedures. * Ability to write clear and concise reports. * Valid security license or certification (where required). * First aid and CPR certification. * Physical fitness and ability to stand and walk for extended periods. * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
