Hotel Handyperson

Job Description As a Handyperson, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the hotel running smoothly. You’ll assist with a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, supporting the engineering team and ensuring that guest areas, back-of-house facilities, and hotel equipment are safe, functional, and guest-ready. This role is perfect for someone with practical skills who enjoys hands-on work and wants to grow their career in hospitality maintenance. Key Responsibilities Assist with general maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to: • Electrical work (e.g., changing light bulbs, replacing fuses) • Plumbing work (e.g., unclogging drains, fixing leaky faucets) • Carpentry work (e.g., hanging doors, repairing shelves) • Painting and decorating • General cleaning and tidying of guest areas and back-of-house facilities. You will also be responsible for: • Maintaining hotel equipment to ensure it is in good working order • Assisting with the installation and removal of furniture and fixtures • Participating in regular safety training and adhering to all health and safety guidelines. This role requires a strong attention to detail, ability to work at heights, and willingness to learn new skills.
