Hotel Assistant - Food & Beverage

ibis Styles Barnsley is looking for an outgoing, dependable and welcoming Hotel Assistant to deliver an amazing first impression and ensure our guests want to come back time and again. We're adding to our team to help cover busy periods and need a Guest Service Assistant on a casual, zero-hours basis, in return for a competitive salary of up to £12.21 per hour (age dependent). Your main focus will be in our Food & Beverage operations, so you'll be working in the bar, restaurant and kitchen, primarily.

We have two requirements for the role - experience in a professional kitchen and personality, but experience in a customer-facing hospitality job would be a big benefit. We need people who are open, welcoming and who know what great customer service looks like - the kind of person you'd like to meet after a long day of travelling! Your main focus will be in our bar and restaurant where you'll be serving guests, pulling pints, taking orders and checking everything spick and span. As we're all one big team, you may also be on Reception - checking guests in and out, answering questions and supporting them during your stay. You could be working a mix of midweek, weekend, early and late shifts for flexibility in your schedule would be a big advantage. As you'll be serving alcohol, we do require applicants to be 18 years of age or older.
