Hosting Architect

Projektron GmbH develops and sells the web-based project management software BCS. More than 130 employees at five locations in Germany ensure support for our more than 820 customers throughout Europe, as well as the continuous further development of our software.

We are now looking for employees to support our hosting in full-time or part-time at our headquarters in Berlin.

Tasks

• Support in the maintenance and further development of our automated hosting environment for Projektron BCS

• Maintenance and care of existing hosting VMs and instances

• Communication with our data center provider

• Participation in the migration of the hosting environment to container technologies to optimize resource utilization

• Creation and implementation of technical concepts for containerization and integration into existing management structures

• Co-responsibility for the security and hardening of web servers and operating systems within the framework of IT security

Qualification

• Good to very good degree in an IT-related field of study
  or completed vocational training in computer science or comparable
  knowledge acquired through professional experience

• Experience in the administration of an automated hosting environment

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar container tools

• Experience in the technical administration of web applications

• Administration of Linux server systems

• Knowledge of tools: Nginx, Apache, HAProxy, Ansible, Puppet

• Very good German language skills (C1 or higher)
