VACANCY: MANAGEMENT COUPLE GM/CHEF (LIVE-IN) ​ Location: Tsitsikamma-Plettenberg Bay Area Reporting to: Owners Salary: (Negotiable based on experience) OVERVIEW ​We are seeking a professional and versatile Management Couple to take full responsibility for the daily operations of our lodge (10 rooms) and restaurant (max.25 seatings). This is a live-in position for a positive couple that thrives in a "hands-on" environment with excellent guest relationships experience. We are looking for a combination of skills, including hospitality management, culinary expertise, and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, have a strong attention to detail, and be able to multitask effectively. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee the daily operations of the lodge and restaurant, ensuring high-quality service and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. - Manage the front desk, reception area, and restaurant, including taking reservations, handling guest requests, and providing exceptional customer service. - Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. - Maintain accurate records and reports, including financial statements, inventory management, and staff performance evaluations. - Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy rates and drive revenue growth. - Collaborate with the owners to develop and maintain a comprehensive business plan, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. REQUIREMENTS: - Hospitality management experience in a similar setting (hotel, lodge, or restaurant). - Culinary expertise, preferably with a degree or certification in culinary arts. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and owners. - Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports. - Experience working independently as well as part of a team. - Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
