Chief Accountant

Function Our client, established in the Ghent Sea Port (East Flanders), is looking for a driven Chief Accountant to strengthen their team. In this versatile and responsible role you will receive the following task package: In collaboration with the CFO, you will take full control of the accounting from A to Z. You are responsible for leading the administrative team. The translation of numbers into strategic insights for management and the board of directors. You will have a key role in the development of financial reports and budgeting. You will also be involved in the implementation of new financial systems and processes. Your expertise will be used to optimize financial performance, ensure compliance with regulations and laws, and provide valuable insights to support business decisions. In addition, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various administrative tasks, such as payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial transactions. You will also have a key role in the development of financial policies and procedures. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize financial performance.
