Job Description

Do you get energy from guiding talent, developing employees, and strengthening vocational education within the Royal Netherlands Navy? As Head of Training Pool, you play an important role in connecting education, practice, and development. Together with your team, you ensure that future operational employees are optimally prepared for their challenging tasks.

In this versatile role, you will lead a group of enthusiastic employees working as Assistant Master Controllers and Game Developers. You will stimulate their professional growth, monitor the quality of their work, and ensure an environment where innovation, collaboration, and learning are central.

In addition to your management duties, you will remain closely involved in practice. When there is a capacity need, you will be deployed as an Assistant Master Controller and contribute to the successful execution of education and training. You will also fulfill the role of class mentor for CCO (Command and Control Operator) trainees and provide lessons in the field of "Introduction to Warfare.".

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Educational Requirements:
• HBO (Higher Professional Education) work and thinking level, preferably supplemented with education in the direction of (technical) education, educational science, management, HRD, or a comparable field.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience with guiding, developing, and training employees.
• Experience working within a technical and/or operational training environment is a plus.
• Affinity with innovation, digital learning resources, and the development of future-oriented education.

Plus:
• Experience in a leadership or coordinating role within education, the training domain, or a technical environment.
• Experience as an (Assistant) CCO/LVO (Assistant Course Leader/Training Leader) or comparable experience within the domain of education and training.
• Experience with guiding trainees or apprentices.
