The organization
This is where you will work

This company is the market leader in public paving in the Netherlands and you undoubtedly have their products in your street! In total, they have 7 production locations in the Netherlands, and this is one of them.

At this production location, concrete curbs are produced daily. In total, this company has a range of over 20,000 products! Every day, trucks come and go to pick up the products and then deliver them to a construction site in the Netherlands. So you will end up in an environment where there is always activity and where you indirectly contribute to the construction of the Netherlands. How great is that!

You will report to the Plant Manager (Lars) and lead a dynamic technical service department. In the technical service department, there is 1 work planner/scheduler, 2 senior mechanics on the day shift, and 4 mechanics on the 2-shift system. In total, the 8 of you ensure that the factory runs as optimally as possible, breakdowns are resolved, and improvements are implemented.

The role
This is what you will do

As Head of Technical Services, you will be responsible for managing the work planner and 6 mechanics. You will oversee the smooth running of weekly maintenance and set the direction for maintenance and projects. There are 2 maintenance shutdowns annually, and in addition, improvement projects are usually ongoing.

What you will do:

• Guiding and managing the technical service department (7 FTE)
• Proposing technical improvements & optimizations
• Overseeing maintenance shutdowns
• Requesting quotes and managing external parties
• Improving processes and reducing downtime
• Coordinating CapEx projects and related tasks
