Locomotive Driver
RequirementsRequirements:
- Inspecting and accepting the traction unit in accordance with specified guidelines, including verifying safety equipment and commissioning the unit
- Reviewing and ensuring completeness and currency of necessary documents, conducting brake tests, and checking train data
- Performing train, shunting, and special operations in compliance with regulatory standards, considering signals, orders, routes, and operating the locomotive
- Troubleshooting traction unit issues following safety protocols
- Conducting vehicle checks and assisting in securing vehicle load
- Handling customer service tasks as per orders
- Depositing or handing over the traction unit to the replacement, including necessary closing activities and depositing train documents
- Completing damage reports, arranging vehicle decommissioning, conducting coupling activities, and securing locomotives and wagons
RequirementsRequirements:
- Completed training as a train driver
- 2+ years of working experience as a Locomotive Driver
- Completed apprenticeship, preferably in technical professions, or upper secondary level education
- Participation in periodic training and continuing education courses
- Successful periodic knowledge review
- Knowledge of German, both written and spoken (B2 level based on the European Framework of Reference for Languages)
