Hiring for Diesel Bus Mechanic

Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections, repairs, and maintenance of diesel engines and mechanical systems in buses. Diagnose and resolve issues related to engines, transmissions, clutches, and brake systems. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance vehicle reliability and reduce operational downtime. Overhaul and replace worn or damaged components, including pistons, bearings, valves, and gears. Utilize diagnostic tools—both mechanical and computerized—to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and repair techniques. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, specifically with bus or heavy-duty vehicle experience. Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel injection, air intake, and exhaust systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and under vehicles. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
