Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Primary School based in Accrington Contract Type: Part-Time (3 days per week) Salary: £14.50 - £18 Start Date: As soon as possible Job Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will work across the school to support teaching and learning, lead planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, and contribute to the development of curriculum plans. Key Responsibilities: • Support teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education. • Lead planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring continuity of provision. • Contribute to the development of curriculum plans, ensuring that they are relevant and engaging for pupils. • Assist with the planning and preparation of lessons, including preparing resources and materials. • Provide additional support to pupils who require it, including those with special educational needs. • Work closely with teachers to identify and address any gaps in pupil learning. • Support the school's commitment to inclusion by promoting diversity and challenging discrimination. • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers. • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
