Job Summary and Qualifications High Risk Labor and Delivery Nurse The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced labor and delivery unit. This includes but is not limited to: Providing direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. Participating in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure comprehensive care for patients. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment. Providing education and support to patients and their families. Participating in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have: Current RN licensure in the state where the facility is located. A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is preferred but not required.
