HGV Class 1 Tramper

Job Title: Class 1 Tramper Driver

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour + £26.00 per night out

Job Overview:

We are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Tramper Drivers based in the Manchester area. This role involves general haulage work using curtainsider trailers, delivering across the UK. You’ll be expected to night out regularly, typically 4 nights per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle in a safe and legal manner
• Transport palletised goods on a curtainsider trailer
• Secure loads correctly and safely using appropriate equipment
• Complete all required paperwork and log sheets accurately
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Communicate effectively with transport office and customers
• Overnight tramping 4-5 nights per week (overnight allowance paid)

Requirements:

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
• CPC and Tacho card
• Minimum 6 months’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles
• Experience with curtainsiders preferred
• Ability to night out during the week
