Do you want to use your skills as a logistics manager? Have you completed a higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) study in a logistics direction? Then we are looking for you at the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, the military police corps within the Ministry of Defence.

As a logistics officer in the Marechaussee, you will lead logistics processes within a complex organization. Do you want to contribute to the logistical support of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee? Then apply.

What you will do

You will put on the uniform (again) and start working as an officer. You will apply your previously acquired logistics skills and specialization. What you will do exactly depends on the position you will fill. We are looking for new colleagues in the rank of lieutenant, captain, and major. The level at which you enter depends on your experience.

As a logistics officer, you will lead a logistics team: you will coordinate, plan, and control the flow of goods within the various fields of work of the Marechaussee. This includes border police tasks (including deployment at airports), military police tasks, guarding and securing, assistance to the police, and foreign police missions.

You will work with modern and complex operational support systems, communication systems, and weapon systems. It will be your task to ensure that the unit has the right equipment at the right time to perform its duties. Throughout your entire career, it is possible that you will be deployed for a certain period during (international) missions or national operations.

Where you will work

First, we will assess if there is a match with a position. Then the application procedure will start. Have you previously been a professional officer within the Ministry of Defence? Or have you never been in the military before? Then the procedure will differ from when you were an enlisted soldier or NCO.

If you have not been an officer before, you will follow a military officer training program of a maximum of 15 months, consisting of the Defence Short Officer Training at the Royal Military Academy in Breda (21 to 35 weeks). The duration of this training depends on previously acquired experience and education. For example, have you previously followed a General Military Training (such as AMBV, AMO, EMMV, EMV, or BOKL)? Then you may be eligible for exemption from the military part.

If you have previously been a professional officer within the Ministry of Defence and have completed a Royal Military Academy training, you generally do not need to follow a new officer training.

Every candidate will follow the Technical Training Logistics (7 months) at the Logistics Training and Education Centre (OTCLog) in Soesterberg. In addition, parts will be followed at the Training, Education and Knowledge Centre of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (OTCKMar) in Apeldoorn. Do you already have a demonstrable technical logistics officer training within the Ministry of Defence? Then you may be eligible for exemption from the technical training.

After successfully completing the training, you will immediately start your career as a logistics officer in the Marechaussee. We have vacancies at multiple locations. Together with you, we will determine which position best suits you.
