What you will do

As a Technician Technical Service Platform Systems at the Royal Netherlands Navy, you will primarily be engaged in inspecting, optimizing, preparing for use, and resolving malfunctions of equipment and installations on board a naval vessel or ashore. This can include mechanical installations (diesels, generators, cooling systems), hydraulic installations (winches, remote controls), or electrical installations (propulsion, power generation).

Work on board takes place both indoors (below deck) and outdoors (on deck). If the work takes place indoors, it is often in confined spaces and in hard-to-reach areas. Outdoor work can take place at heights. All work is strongly influenced by the movement of the ship, which can pose additional risks.

In addition to your technical tasks on board, you are of course also a military member and have associated duties.

PLUS POINTS OF THIS FUNCTION

• Salary: your gross base salary, plus allowances and our travel, pension, and health care schemes, and a 13th month salary, will result in a pleasant surprise net.
• One-time re-employment bonus of € 2,500 net after 1 year if you were previously employed for at least 2 years.

Where you will work

You will be working again within the Technical Service on board a naval vessel. The main location is Den Helder. You will participate in exercises and must take into account that you may be deployed.
