Have you recently (between now and 6 years ago) resigned as a professional soldier and were you a lieutenant at the time in the corps/service branch information maneuver-intelligence & security? And do you want to return? The Special Entry Bureau of the Royal Netherlands Army is happy to explore if there are opportunities for you to return as a professional soldier.

What you will do

In addition to the required civilian education(s), you have also completed your initial training with the Royal Netherlands Army previously. You can therefore (after proven suitability) start working again immediately as a professional soldier with the Royal Netherlands Army.

Where you will work

We currently have multiple placement opportunities. If you have a preference for a specific direction and/or placement, you can indicate this so that we can take it into account.

After receiving your details, we will process your re-entry request. The assessment will include, among other things, your military history, references and previous performance, whether you are still current enough to start in a function immediately, and we will try to find a match with a suitable job position.

If there is a match, we will of course contact you as soon as possible to inform you about the possibilities, employment conditions, the selection and medical examination process to be followed (this may differ from the regular process), and the initiation of a security investigation.

Your starting salary depends on your age, education level, and experience. As your knowledge and experience grow, your salary will also increase. In addition to your salary, you will also receive various structural and incidental allowances as a soldier. The VEB allowance is already included in the salaries mentioned on werkenbijdefensie.nl. With a full-time contract, depending on your age, you are entitled to 23-30 days of leave per year. Do you have days left over? Then you can carry them over to the next year under certain conditions.

HBO You are between 17 years and 11 months and 50 years and 11 months A pair of glasses or contact lenses is not a problem.

In principle, you must also meet the entry requirements for re-entry: Completed HBO Bachelor's degree. This concerns functions with cluster level 1, with the exception of functions within the Air Assault Brigade.
