Are you a former professional soldier and want to return to the Marechaussee? If you are not yet 52 years and 3 months old and have been a professional soldier before, you can now submit a request to re-enter the Royal Marechaussee through this open application!

What you will do

You will put on the uniform again and start working as a soldier. You will put your previously acquired military skills and specialization back into practice. What you will do exactly depends on the position you will fill. Together with you, we will start the process, so that you end up in a place where you have worked before or where you would like to work. We are also interested in the developments you have undergone.

• Salary: your gross base salary, plus allowances and our favorable travel, pension, and healthcare schemes, will result in a pleasant net surprise.
• Work atmosphere: nowhere will you be part of such a close-knit team of colleagues as in the Ministry of Defence.

Where you will work

You will work at one of the departments of the Royal Marechaussee. This could be, for example, at the training center, one of the brigades of the National Tactical Command, the staff of the Commander Royal Marechaussee, or the Passenger Information Unit Netherlands. You may also work within other Ministry of Defence units, such as the Defence Support Command, the Command Materiel and Information Technology, and the Administrative Staff. We will try to take your personal preferences into account as much as possible.

Note: Do you not yet have a swimming diploma? You can still apply! We will then discuss with you whether you can obtain that swimming diploma before your appointment. And the great thing is: the costs for obtaining a swimming diploma will be reimbursed by the Ministry of Defence!
