This is what you will do

As a second team leader, you will do valuable work in a dynamic role. You will lead your team, but you will also be responsible for managing daily operations. You will manage based on assigned tasks and ensure that everything is carried out according to the correct guidelines and quality standards. By acting based on information and being guided, you are a valuable link within the operational processes of the brigade.

Broad responsibility characterizes this function in both the execution and quality control of all operational activities. You are involved in initiating and coordinating criminal investigations as a Judicial Officer (HOvJ), where you provide advice and initiate processes in border and police-related matters. Additionally, you act as an Operational Police Officer (OvDP) during incidents, coordinate the necessary processes, and liaise with other emergency services on site. Furthermore, you are responsible for supervising the processing of data in operational systems, checking process reports and files, and monitoring the first-line investigation and alien processes. You ensure that legislation and regulations are applied correctly and act as an advisor to your direct colleagues. As a 2nd Team Leader, you are also a mentor and coach for your team members. You guide, develop, and conduct performance reviews, always keeping an eye on your team's performance and well-being. You also take responsibility for first-line personnel responsibilities and prioritize personnel deployment. We are looking for someone who can switch gears quickly, possesses organizational talent, and can act with confidence and expertise in both operational and legal processes.

This is where you will work

Before you start as a second team leader, you must complete the general investigator training course at the Training, Education, and Knowledge Center of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee in Apeldoorn. If you already have a military basic training (such as AMBV, AMO, EMMV, EMV, or BOKL)? Then you will be exempt from the military part. Do you have a police education? Then you can also apply. We will then assess if you can follow the basic military training.

Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in the operational domain at the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee and/or national police.
