About the Role The Head Sommelier will lead the sommelier team, curate the wine list, and develop wine pairing recommendations for the restaurant's menu. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wine, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the sommelier team and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent service and wine knowledge. • Curate the wine list, including selecting and purchasing wines, and maintaining relationships with suppliers. • Develop wine pairing recommendations for the restaurant's menu, taking into account the flavors and ingredients of each dish. • Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine-pairing menus and special wine events. • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that guests have a memorable dining experience. • Stay up-to-date with the latest wine trends, releases, and industry developments. • Participate in wine education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills. • Maintain accurate records of wine inventory, sales, and customer preferences. • Work closely with the restaurant's management team to develop and implement wine-related initiatives and promotions. • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
