Head Policy & Advocacy - Manufacturing Sector

About the Role Lead manufacturing policy advocacy, industry engagement, and strategic initiatives to strengthen India's manufacturing competitiveness. The role involves working closely with government, industry leaders, global partners, and knowledge institutions to drive policy recommendations, research, industry platforms, and sectoral development. Key Responsibilities Policy Advocacy & Government Engagement Drive manufacturing policy initiatives and industry advocacy. Engage with key government officials, policymakers, and stakeholders to advance the interests of the manufacturing sector. Develop and implement effective strategies for influencing policy decisions that support the growth and competitiveness of Indian manufacturing. Collaborate with industry leaders and associations to develop joint positions and recommendations on key policy issues. Provide thought leadership and expert advice to government agencies, industry bodies, and other stakeholders on matters related to manufacturing policy and development. Strategic Initiatives Develop and implement strategic initiatives to strengthen India's manufacturing sector. Identify and prioritize areas for improvement in the sector and develop actionable plans to address these gaps. Collaborate with knowledge institutions, research organizations, and industry partners to identify best practices and innovative solutions that can be applied to Indian manufacturing. Monitor and evaluate the impact of policy initiatives and strategic interventions on the manufacturing sector. Key Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of India's manufacturing sector, its challenges, and opportunities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills. Ability to build strong relationships with government officials, industry leaders, and other stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think strategically and develop effective plans to achieve goals. Experience in policy development, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. Certifications or qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, business administration).
