A Big 5 Game Lodge in Pilanesberg, North West is seeking a creative and skilled Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry section and deliver exceptional desserts and baked goods. The ideal candidate will bring innovation, precision, and consistency, ensuring all pastry offerings meet luxury lodge standards. REQUIREMENT: • RSA ID and legal residence essential • Relevant Pastry / Culinary qualification • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef in a luxury hospitality environment • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure • Excellent communication and team management skills • Ability to maintain high levels of quality control and consistency • Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes, techniques, and equipment • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays. The successful candidate will be responsible for: • Leading the pastry section and ensuring all desserts and baked goods meet luxury lodge standards • Developing and maintaining a menu that showcases creativity and innovation • Maintaining high levels of quality control and consistency in all pastry offerings • Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and presentation • Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
