Head of Technology (m/f/d)

Five practices, one mission: You are responsible for technology and build software that gives our teams time back. KU64 is owner-managed, without investors and without a chain. Over 40 dentists work in five practices in Berlin and Potsdam, with over 1,000 new patients joining every month.

You will combine IT operations and in-house software development for all five locations and report directly to management. You will work with the practice teams and our IT partners, clarify responsibilities, and decide what needs to be improved first.

This is what you are responsible for

• Operations at five locations: Network, servers, workstations, telephony, and telematics infrastructure. You ensure operations that every team can rely on, and that knowledge is not just held in people's heads.
• Practice software and devices: CGM Z1 Pro is the heart of the practice day. In addition, digital X-rays, CBCT, intraoral scanners, and CAD/CAM. You coordinate their connection with teams, manufacturers, and partners.
• Security and data protection: Health data deserves care: rights, encryption, two-factor authentication, order processing, training. And a recovery that you have practiced.
• Partners and budget: You manage service providers for hardware, telephony, and device maintenance, review contracts, and make costs and priorities understandable.
• Own software and agents: We develop our internal software ourselves, and it continues to grow under you. You examine where AI agents can really help in daily practice, test them with the team, and bring what proves itself into operation.

• In practice: CGM Z1 Pro, Doctolib, Personio, Telematics Infrastructure
• Imaging and devices: CBCT and digital X-rays, intraoral scanners, CAD/CAM
• Infrastructure: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, UniFi, Azure planned
• Own development: TypeScript, cloud services, APIs and interfaces, language models

You don't have to know all of this.

Your first 90 days

• 30 days, Understanding: You get to know teams, systems, and contracts and identify where operations first need attention.
• 60 days, Organizing: Responsibilities are clarified, the most important improvements are underway. With a team, you choose the first use case for an agent.
• 90 days, Testing: Your roadmap for the next twelve months is on the table. A first solution is running in daily practice, with a person by its side.

What you bring

• You have managed IT operations: For systems, service providers, and the people who work with them. Not just for code.
• You develop yourself: TypeScript, APIs, and cloud services. You reliably bring software into operation and maintain it there.
• You take people with you: You set priorities and explain technology in such a way that a practice team enjoys using it. Fluent German.

A plus

• AI agents or language models in real-world use
• CGM Z1 or other practice and clinic software
• Telematics infrastructure, X-rays, and medical devices on the network
• Entra ID, Intune, Azure, and UniFi
