ISA Telematics builds systems that keep an eye on people, vehicles, and goods when it matters: emergency calls, location tracking, alerting.

What's special about it is the scope. The entire chain is managed by one entity, from the firmware on the device, through radio protocols and servers, to the control center. No module, no isolated part: the complete system.

And the problems are real. GPS that fails in steel structures. Mobile communication that drops when it's needed. Devices that remain in the field for years and still need to be updatable. An alarm that doesn't just arrive most of the time, but always.

Our customers: Industry, energy providers, rail and logistics, clinics, police and security organizations in the DACH region. The product is established, certified, and profitable, so you will be building with real users and ongoing revenues behind you.

There is a lot of room for growth: new industries, new products on the existing platform, international markets, a stronger app business. You will decide what gets built first, together with an experienced developer who has been supporting the system for years.

Tasks

Your Role

• Full responsibility for product and technology: architecture, roadmap, code
• For approximately twelve months, the developer will personally hand over the system to you, after which you will lead the Product & Technology department
• You decide what stays, what gets modernized, and what is newly created
• Co-design new products and use cases on the existing platform
• Customer projects from effort estimation to go-live, including device and location tracking connections (TCP/UDP, XML)
• Norm-compliant further development (DGUV, DIN VDE V 0825, CE) and fault analysis during ongoing operation

Qualifications

What you bring

• Java: three years of professional development
• SQL and relational databases, Git in everyday use
• Develop and debug communication interfaces (TCP/UDP, XML)
• Estimate effort and negotiate with technical contacts on the customer side
• Leadership skills and entrepreneurial thinking
• German & English fluent in negotiation

What we offer

• Salary range €70,000–€90,000 p.a. depending on experience
