Work Location: Chennai (Work From Office) Role Overview: The Head of Technology (HoT) is the strategic enabler for the entire Matrimony.com business, accountable for building and running the foundational technology platform that powers all digital and physical operations. This role owns hybrid cloud infrastructure, enterprise security, DevOps/SRE enablement, and corporate/branch IT—not as a support function, but as a transformational, solution-oriented leadership mandate. The HoT is expected to… Key Responsibilities: * Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for all technology functions, aligning technology initiatives with overall business objectives. * Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technology infrastructure, including cloud platforms, networks, and data centers. * Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions that can improve business processes and enhance customer experiences. * Lead and mentor a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. * Manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective technology solutions. * Oversee enterprise security and data privacy, ensuring the protection of company assets and compliance with relevant regulations. * Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, vendors, and technology partners. * Develop and implement IT governance policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of technology resources and risks. * Ensure that IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective. * Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. * Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize disruptions and ensure business resilience. * Drive DevOps/SRE enablement across the technology organization Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Minimum of 15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex technology projects. * Strong understanding of cloud computing, networking, security, and data center operations. * Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams. * Experience in the online or technology industry is a plus. * Experience in a consumer-facing business is a plus.
